Why can't I publish my Website Builder site?
If you're encountering an error when trying to publish your website, it's typically due to a domain connection issue. This guide will help you diagnose and resolve the most common problems.
Please work through the following checks in order.
Check 1: Verify Your Domain Connection
Your domain must be correctly pointed to the Dynadot Website Builder.

The Cause: When you created your site, you were prompted to connect a domain. While this is often done automatically, the DNS settings may have been changed later.

The Solution: Confirm your domain's DNS is pointed directly to the Dynadot Website Builder. You can manage this in your Domain Settings page.
Check 2: Wait for DNS Propagation
DNS changes are not instant and need time to take effect across the internet.

The Cause: If you recently connected your domain or changed its DNS settings, it can take 24-48 hours for these changes to fully propagate.

The Solution: If you've recently made a change, please wait at least 24 hours. You can check the propagation status using a third-party IP Lookup Tool.
Check 3: Wait for SSL Certificate Issuance
We automatically provide a free SSL certificate for your domain, but it requires time to be issued.

The Cause: The system needs a few hours to generate and apply the SSL security certificate.

The Solution: If you see the message: "We're currently enhancing your website's security in preparation for launch. Please try again shortly!", this process is still underway. Please wait a few hours and try pressing the "Publish" button again.
